The Global Bird Watchers Conference 2010 is being held from 25th to 27th November 2010 at Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary located at the North East coastal region of Jamnagar in the Gulf of Kutch. It is at the watershed of River Ruparel and Kalindri, is a very special and unique ecosystem where fresh water and saline water habitats coexist. More than 300 species of birds recorded in the sanctuary and among them nearly 200 species seen regularly during the year. The legendary Indian Ornithologist Dr. Salim Ali visited the sanctuary in 1984 and he sighted 104 species on a single day. It is a great opportunity to felt the wonderful world of avian friends at the Conference.
