Angkor National Museum

Angkor National Museum project has been initiated from the granted contract to “Build, Cooperate and Transfer (BCT)” between the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, APSARA Authority (MCFA & APSARA).

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Conceptual Idea for Logo design:
  • Represent Khmer culture and art, "Neak" or Naga is the symbol of Angkorian royalty and appears in many ancient artifacts.
  • Retain the formal look yet simplified and stylized appearance to be easily adaptable for other uses i.e. souvenir items.
  • Greenish grey color stands for prosperity in Khmer and is blended with dark brown, Earth-tone color to convey institutional maturity and is growing from the earth.
  • Whilst the proposed font for the word "Angkor" is a modified font to give Khmer script influence.
