On June 28, 2011 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue thestamp devoted to the 20 anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Designer: Vladislav Shevardin. Printing: offset. Colour: full colour. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 131/2: 133/4. Size of the stamp: 37x26 mm. Sheetlet composition: 9 (3x3) values. Size of the sheet: 132x107 mm. Print quantity: 54.000 copies.


The stamp design includes the emblem of the 20th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Letter “H” is equal to the surface tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad.


On December 2011 there will be 20 years since the foundation of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Nowadays 11 states are members of the CIS: Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine. The CIS was created for cooperation among countries in the field of politics, economics, law, culture, science, etc.
According to the Decision of the Council of the CIS Heads of Governments many activities will be devoted to this anniversary aiming to get the cultures nearer to each other and to strengthen the system of cooperation among the member states.
